London is the top global city
Boris can sleep easy; London has once again been ranked as the top global city for Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI) in The Wealth Report 2014, published by Knight Frank. But it's no time to be complacent; New York looks set to replace London in the top spot by 2024.
The cities are ranked based on four factors: Economic Activity, Quality of Life, Knowledge & Influence and Political Power as well as taking into account the number of UHNWIs who call each city home.
London and New York are expected to stay at the top of the list for some time, history, location and long established wealth making their positions almost unassailable, for now. Further down the leader board there's likely to be more movement. In Asia a handful of locations are battling to become the regions' prime urban hub.
