MY LONDON LIFE - Thomas Middleditch

Liquid error: invalid date

01 Name

Thomas Middleditch

02 Job title

Associate director, JLL Residential

Kensington and West End

03 Where do you live?

Barnes.

04 How long have you been in London?

Eleven years.

05 Preferred mode of transport

Overland train to work – it’s a really easy commute into Kensington.

06 Favourite London view

Looking across the river from Tower Bridge.

07 Ideal weekend in London

I’d start with breakfast at Olympic Studios in Barnes (eggs Benedict - amazing!) then head over Hammersmith Bridge to Westfield for bit of shopping. If the weather’s looking good, I’d grab
a drink with friends on the river at the Duke’s Head in Putney, and then finish the day with the best steak at Hawksmoor in the West End.

08 Favourite restaurant

Sticks’n’Sushi (Wimbledon and Covent Garden).
I’d recommend their ‘Monte Carlo food’, which is great for sharing.

09 I’ve always meant to…

Follow the city’s historical routes. I always feel I’ve missed out on the tourist sights, and that would be a great way to learn more about London’s past.

10 The best thing about my patch

Barnes is the perfect antidote to a busy day in
the city, and I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. The duck ponds, farmers market and boutique shops make you feel like you’re in a leafy village somewhere in Hampshire, but the great transport links mean you’re actually really close to
central London.
