MY LONDON LIFE - Christopher Saye

Liquid error: invalid date

01 Name

Christopher Saye.

02 Job title

Head of sales and lettings, Covent Garden and West End, Chesterton Humberts

03 Where do you live?

Richmond upon Thames.

04 How long have you been in London?

Five years.

05 Preferred mode of transport

Train during the week and car at the weekend, with lots of walking in between.

06 Favourite London view

I love the view from the Royal Observatory in Greenwich across the city skyline, from Canary Wharf in the east to Westminster and the London Eye.

07 Ideal weekend in London

Saturday morning, we’d walk from my house in Richmond to Barnes for breakfast on the river, then pick up Boris Bikes in Fulham, cycle through Parsons Green to Chelsea for some shopping and onto the West End for a few drinks. Sundays are usually spent in Richmond Park with the dog followed by a big lunch with family and friends.

08 Favourite restaurant

My current favourite is Kaspar’s at the Savoy. If my Chesterton Humberts team has done particularly well, I take them there for lunch as a thank you!

09 I’ve always meant to…

Spend more time as a tourist. I actually saw more shows and visited more places before I moved to London, so I’m determined to set time aside to explore the capital.

10 The best thing about my patch

Our office in Covent Garden is a stone’s throw away from the Centre Point tower, so pretty much as central as you can get. I never tire of walking up to work from Waterloo and passing Westminster, Trafalgar Square and the Piazza. We’re lucky enough to be able to walk to all our appointments and after work, we’re spoilt for choice with bars and restaurants.
