MY LONDON LIFE - Kate Flynn

Liquid error: invalid date

01 Name

Kate Flynn.

02 Job title

Associate director,
Notting Hill office,
Bective Leslie Marsh.

03 Where do you live?

North Kensington, W10.

04 How long have you been in London?

Ten years.

05 Preferred mode of transport

I try to go by foot where possible, but I have to admit I mainly use my car as I have a Kensington and Chelsea permit, so I’m spoilt for parking (very lazy, I know!).

06 Favourite London view

Portobello Road Market in full swing. It’s wonderful to see people from all over the world enjoying themselves and the smells from the fantastic food stalls really lure you in.

07 Ideal weekend in London

Eating out - there are so many good restaurants to sample, it’s only time and money that hold me back! Notting Hill and North Kensington have such a fantastic array - I’m very lucky to live and work here.

08 Favourite restaurant

Portobello Ristorante on Ladbroke Road for both its atmosphere and fantastic food - the best Italian in the area.

09 I’ve always meant to…

Visit some of the wonderful gardens in the Open Garden Squares Weekend. It’s a rare opportunity to appreciate some of the open spaces hidden away for residents’ use only.

10 The best thing about my patch

Notting Hill has some of the best architecture in London. I particularly love the pastel-coloured buildings on its tree-lined roads. You can never predict what lies behind the front door which makes the area so unique and interesting. No two properties are the same.
