COMPANY PROFILE

Ellisons are Merton’s largest independent Estate Agents, with two offices in Wimbledon, one in Raynes Park and one in Morden / Merton Park. We specialise in Residential Sales, Lettings, Property Management and Land & New Homes. We are open six days a week from 9am to 7pm.

TYPICAL PROPERTIES

Typical Properties are Victorian, Edwardian and 1930’s built houses. There are a couple of Mansion Blocks in the area built in the late 1920’s one of which has a real Art Decco look to it. As an office our most common area to sell properties is in the Apostle’s. I dont know whether its just because we like them and our enthusiasm rubs off onto our clients or our success story with them. These are typically two bed Edardian houses that have flexibilty to extend into the loft void and rear extension. These houses sell from £500,000 - £650,000 depending on what works they have had done.

WHERE DID IT ALL START

Ellisons was founded in 1989 by Sean Purtill. The remit was to provide the highest level of expertise in all property matters.

YOUR MOST INTERESTING PROPERTY SOLD?

A Victorian Mansion formally a Nun’s Convent in The Downs Wimbledon. The property was completely refurbished by Shanly Homes to provide seven bedrooms, six luxury bathrooms, a suite of palatial reception rooms, cinema room, wine cellar, seperate annex and gardens. It would be my perfect home if I could only ever afford it!

FAVOURITE PLACE IN YOUR OFFICE AREA?

Nothing like the the David Lloyd Gym either before or after work. A good training session keeps me focused and motivated. Life is all about balance and I do enjoy my food. The Olive Garden Restuarant in Raynes Park will always call me in whenever I walk past. A good restaurant/ deli that makes sanwiches etc to order.

Favourite holiday destination
“Havana” Cuba, the people are so friendly and the architecture is second to none. To sum up Havana, it’s an amazing city - vibrant, full of life and fun! Any of the well known hotels in Old Havana are a great base to explore from. You won’t be disappointed!! Im going back for the fourth time later this year!
