The latest figures from UK residential agent Hamptons International highlight that demand for properties in the country has increased by 22 per cent when compared with the same time last year. To capitalize on this increased motivation, Hamptons International hosted a successful three day ‘Country Roadshow’ event across key London locations - Islington, Fulham and Battersea – last week in association with the world renowned paint and wallpaper brand, Farrow & Ball.
Marc Goldberg, Head of Sales at Hamptons International says: “The Country Roadshow event really highlighted the current buzz surrounding the outmigration trend. Right now, there’s a real energy from London buyers looking to escape to the country and we were thrilled to be able to provide our clients and potential buyers with a first look at quality country houses, chocolate box cottages and gorgeous townhouses in prime areas of the countryside.”
Capitalizing on its strong branch network of 29 branches in London and 72 across the South of the UK, Hamptons
International’s experts from popular commuter areas such as Beaconsfield, Guildford, St Albans together with representatives from further afield such as Cheltenham, Newbury and Marlborough were on hand to give advice on how to make a successful move out of London.
Marc Goldberg continues: “This year, although traditional commuter belt areas were of real interest to attendees, it was the Western areas such as Newbury and Cheltenham that captured the imagination of those looking to outmigrate. With home working becoming more and more common and Londoners seeking more value for money than ever before, demand in these hotspots has increased by 24 per cent on the same time last year.”
This is the third year Hamptons International has hosted the Country Roadshow.
